Welcome to XDays2NewMe.

The Privacy Policy of XDays2NewMe is designed to explain how your information is collected and used and help you make informed decisions when using XDays2NewMe, located at www.XDays2NewMe.com (collectively, "XDays2NewMe" or "Website" or “Site”).  By using the site you are accepting the practices described here.

The Information Collected

When you visit and as you use XDays2NewMe you can give us two kinds of information.  One type is the information you willingly provide about yourself that is shared with other members and the other type of information is your usage statistics and behavior needed by us to make the website better.

When you signup or register with XDays2NewMe you may choose to provide us with certain personal information such as your name, your address, your age.  This information is optional and can be changed or deleted at any time in your profile page.  Almost all of your information, excluding your age may be visible to other members of the website, however, we never disclose your e-mail address or password to any other member without your approval.  Your age maybe used in a deriving demographics and in statistical equations for our business model.

When you either visit or use XDays2NewMe as a member or visitor we collect your browser type and IP address. In addition, we store certain information from your browser using "cookies." A cookie is a piece of data stored on your computer to store certain information that helps only in running the website such as session ID cookies to confirm that users are logged in.  If you chose to remember yourself in the login page, then a persistent cookie will be stored in your computer for two weeks since you logged in.
As defined in the XDays2NewMe Terms and Conditions of Use, when you post information, you do so at your own risk.  Each member is bound by the user agreement not to download any of the information you post and so officially, you content should not be copied and saved anywhere other than XDays2NewMe servers.
Any improper collection or misuse of information provided on XDays2NewMe is a violation of the XDays2NewMe Terms of Service and should be reported to us in writing.

By using XDays2NewMe, you are consenting to have your personal data transferred to and processed in the United States.

Use of Information Collected

Currently, only your screen name, your goal and your progress is viewable to all other XDays2NewMe registered members.  If you do not provide your name, only your screen name will be visible and so, in this way you may remain anonymous if you wish to.  If you do provide your full or partial name, that will be searchable by other members to try to find you if they search with your name. 
As stated earlier in this document, your information may be used by us or by third parties only for collecting demographic information. In this case your identity will not be used, only your characteristics.  XDays2NewMe is serious about protecting your identity information, such as email and contact information.

Sharing Your Information with Third Parties

Your profile page and your public page and your personal information is not made available to search engines crawlers (e.g. Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask.com etc) unless you explicitly mention your desire to do so by writing to us. What this means is that your information is not visible to be searched by any general user of the internet. Additionally, your profile page and any page containing your personal or progress information is not accessible to the general audience. Once you have activated your membership, you can opt out of letting other members see any of your information as well.
We occasionally provide demonstration accounts that allow non-users a glimpse into the XDays2NewMe world. Such accounts have only limited capabilities (e.g., messaging is disabled) and passwords are changed regularly to limit possible misuse.
We may be required to disclose user information pursuant to lawful requests, such as subpoenas or court orders, or in compliance with applicable laws. We do not reveal information until we have a good faith belief that an information request by law enforcement or private litigants meets applicable legal standards. Additionally, we may share account or other information when we believe it is necessary to comply with law, to protect our interests or property, to prevent fraud or other illegal activity perpetrated through the XDays2NewMe service or using the XDays2NewMe name, or to prevent imminent bodily harm. This may include sharing information with other companies, lawyers, agents or government agencies.
Advertisements that appear on XDays2NewMe are sometimes delivered directly to you by third party advertisers. When this happens they may automatically receive your IP address. These third party advertisers may also download cookies to your computer, or use other technologies such as JavaScript and "web beacons" (also known as "1x1 gifs") to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content. XDays2NewMe does not have access to or control of the cookies that may be placed by the third party advertisers. Third party advertisers have no access to your contact information stored on XDays2NewMe unless you choose to share it with them.

Children Under Age 13 and Between Ages 13 and 18

XDays2NewMe does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for XDays2NewMe or send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information to or on XDays2NewMe. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us here.
We recommend that minors over the age of 13 ask their parents for permission before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet.
